The control allows for infinite variable speed adjustment for shaded pole and PSC motors. It is important to not exceed the maximum amperage rating indicated on the motor nameplate to avoid damaging both the control and the motor. To prevent stalling, the motor must be operated with sufficient torque, as a stalled motor can overheat and burn out. Additionally, ensure that a fan blade is installed directly on the motor shaft for adequate cooling. This control is not suitable for use with gear motors and cannot be returned once installed. It is designed to fit in a standard 2" x 4" electrical wall box and is rated for a maximum of 2.5 amps at 115 volts, with UL and CSA approval. It is not compatible with Capacitor Start or Capacitor Run Motors. Ideal applications include fans, blowers, fireplace blowers, attic fans, humidifiers, and ventilators.
